Taking The Stage Season Finale Thursday Might 7, 2009

It’s getting closer to the end of the school year for the talented children at SCPA and now it’s time to make a decision as to what they will be doing to oppose their performing careers after graduating. 

Jasmine auditions for Juliard but unfortunately didn’t make it. Finding the strength after her breakup with Tyler she flies to Miami for an auditon with the Alvin Ailey Dance Co. Using her current heartache, she regains her determination to  pursue her lifelong dream of being the ideal professional ballerina for her time. 

Tyler is only a junior and still has a year left of school. He’s visaged with the decision to oppose his dream of being a professional hip hop partner or to finish high school and get receive his diploma. He auditions with Bloc Talent Bureau and with his charming charisma landed him a signing. However, he would have to either move to New York or L. A. and leave Cincinnatti behind. 

Malik also aspires to work as a professional partner or choreographer after he graduates. He recently broke up with Matthew and hasn’t been in his regularize lately. Malik and Matthew remain friends after the break up. Malik and Tyler have a diversion rivalry where they both audition and only Tyler was asked to be sign. He is now considering giving up on pursuing a diversion career and getting an office job. (don’t do it Malik you are so dope!) 

Mia gets a call from Jive records and is asked to fly to New York to have a meeting and to perform her songs in front of a record executive. He states she gave him chills when she sings. After hearing thos positive comments, Mia is convinced she’s landed a deal with Jive. It’s been her goal to be signed to a record adjudge before she turns 18. Her friendship with Aaron stays plutonic because she can’t get her mind off of Tyler, who can’t get his mind off of Jasmine nor Mia. Mia finally gets a phone call from Jive, who seemed interested but did not want to sign her at this time and feels she might need some more time to develop her craft. (Mia, you rock!!!..forget about Jive. lol)

Whatever path these children take, they will be successful……

It has been pretty uncertain about when ICET Counseling will take place for ICET 2009. The ICET 2009 exam is conducted this year by Andhra University. They also gave official information about the counseling dates for ICET 2009.

When is ICET 2009 Counselling?

This has been the question in the mind of each student who has written ICET this year. Unfortunately the Convenor of ICET 2009 or the Universities like Osmania University in Hyderabad, Andhra University in Vizag and Sri Venkateswara University (SVU) of Tirupati, neither have given any concrete dates so far.

What is the Official Situation?

But fortunately, they have officially announced the estimated dates when the counseling for ICET 2009 might happen. Please note the key word here “may”. It was announced that the first week of July or the date of 10 July holds the key for the begin of ICET counseling.

This news has been announced quite sometime back and many new rumours have started flying around in the student circles. Partly because now there is a Counselling scheduled for Eamcet 2009 around the first week of July. Hence ICET Counseling is most likely to happen only after this. That means it can happen around the last week of July from 27th July onwards or in the middle of July around 15th July.

This is ironical to note that Eamcet 2009 was conducted only after ICET 2009 has been conducted both in the month of May. But the Counselling for Eamcet is scheduled first before the Counselling for ICET. Very funny! But we have to live with this. Probably too much of competition in this year compared to Eamcet 2008 and ICET 2008, is causing the administraters to shuffle the dates here and there.

Unlike the year 2008, this year ICET came first before Eamcet exam for Andhra Pradesh graduate and post graduate college admissions. This is also slightly confusing at first for me. But later I thought that ICET was conducted well at the same time, but due to other reasons Eamcet 2009 was delayed.

Don’t Worry Much About Uncertainty

What more? On several websites and forums I can clearly see many students asking for ICET Counselling dates. Surprisingly some people are responding with date as 15 June! This day is June 24. I did not know why they did like that. June 15 is already over. It will scare many students. So I advice students not to get panicked with these rumors.

Keep checking only the official announced news. If somebody gives a date make sure they are citing that it is officially announced even if the date might change. The convenors will definitely announce the right date atleast a week before the Counselling. And when that happens there will be too many blogs and web sites giving that information well before you can reach your Counselling center. All I can state is Good Luck and look for information about ideal colleges for MBA or MCA.

Update on 31 March 2010: ICET 2010 notifications are yet to come. Only ICET 2010 exam notification was announced in mid-february. Hall tickets will be sent just before the exam date (3-4 days before typically). Some might be very unlucky to receive hall ticket after exam date. For them the solution is to go to Andhra University Campus, which is conducting the exam this year, and get duplicate hall ticket from them directly after a tiny fee payment.

We are downto 3 contestants!! we’ve got Aminat, the tall beautiful model who has the perfect body for runway, or is it Teyona the tomboy from a small town with lots of potential or will it be the quirky Allison with those huge beautiul eyes. 

The girls have a cover girl shoot where they must do a commercial and remember their lines while still looking beautiful. Aminat struggles at first but pulls it together to get an awesome commercial. She remained calm and it worked out for her. Allison suprised me and does a good job too. Teyona lets her nerves get the ideal of her and she breaks down in the middle of the shoot. She couldn’t gather herself, but who blames her with all these flashing lights and cameras and Mr. diplomatist telling her she sucked..LOL.

At Panel, the critiques for apiece girl where pretty much neck and neck but it’s Aminat who doesn’t know how to use her grappling muscles to pull off the CoverGirl ad who gets sent home. I thought Aminat was awesome, but she reminded me of a previous ANTM Dani. Aminat will go far since panel states she has one of the ideal bodies in modeling right now.

The final 2 are Allison and Teyona!! The final challenge is the Brazillian stomp down the runway for designer Rosa Cha. Allison has always had trouble with her runway achievement where as Teyona stays consistent. It was beautiful show with tons of feathers and crazy makeup and at the end of the show all the models did some type of live art exhibition where they wer covered in some type of black oil and were rolling down the runway on the floor instead of travel it out. Kinda weird, but weird is always a good thing. Both ladies did one hell of a job. I’m chesty of both of them. I was rooting for Allison just because she was the underdog. The panel had a hard decision but in the end, you have to be healthy to take good photos and have a good walk. So Teyona was titled ANTM Cycle 12 winner!! You go girl!! You rock!!
